About the show

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Nola is a celebration of the music and culture of New Orleans, the city where jazz was born and every street corner has a song. The show opens with the brass-band spirit of “When the Saints Go Marching In” and “Down by the Riverside,” classic spirituals that have echoed through the French Quarter for generations. Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” brings the funk and soul that keep the city dancing. Then the band heads out of town and down to the bayou, where Frank Ticheli’s “Cajun Folk Songs” kicks off a fast, foot-stomping party to close the show.
